The Center for Information and Documentation Morocco aims to report the news as it should be reported by the public media, but unfortunately is not reported because the objectivity necessary for good journalism is lacking.
Too often people do not recognize themselves in the news as it is presented to the masses, and it has become common practice to dismiss people who ‘filter’ the news for themselves and who make comments on what is presented to them as conspiracy theorists.
It is also our wish to provide a more truthful picture of the extent of corruption in Morocco and the devastating effect it has on both the progress of the country and on the mentality of its people.
We sincerely hope that this ‘new openness’ will lead to Moroccans in general and Dutch Moroccans in particular to become more critical of events in Morocco and that they will ultimately come to a more profound understanding of the way in which Morocco deals with citizens in Morocco and with Moroccans living abroad and their interests.

Het Centrum Informatie en Documentatie Marokko heeft tot doel het nieuws te brengen zoals dit door de publieke media gebracht zou moeten worden maar helaas niet gebracht wordt omdat de, voor goede journalistiek noodzakelijke objectiviteit ontbreekt.
Te vaak herkennen mensen zich niet in het nieuws zoals dit aan de massa wordt voorgeschoteld en het is gemeengoed geworden om mensen die voor zichzelf het nieuws ‘filteren’ en die kanttekeningen zetten bij wat hun voorgeschoteld wordt weg te zetten als complotdenkers.
Tevens is het onze wens een, meer waarheidsgetrouw beeld te geven van de omvang van de corruptie in Marokko en het verwoestende effect dat dit heeft op zowel de vooruitgang van het land als op de mentaliteitsvorming van het volk.
Wij hopen oprecht dat deze ‘nieuwe openheid’ ertoe zal leiden dat Marokkanen in het algemeen en Marokkaanse Nederlanders in het bijzonder kritischer zullen worden met betrekking tot de gebeurtenissen in Marokko en dat ze uiteindelijk tot een diepgaander besef zullen komen over de wijze waarop Marokko omgaat met de burgers in Marokko en met de in het buitenland woonachtige Marokkanen en hun belangen.
