Moroccan foolery

Morocco is doing all it can to convince the world that is a democracy where human rights matter, we know that it is not. What Morocco also considers of value is that the West sees it as a country where ‘moderate’ Islam works and a country where tourists are safe.

The fact is that Morocco as a country has nothing to do with Islam for all that Islam stands for is not be found in the acts of those in power notwithstanding the fact that the Moroccan king claims the title Commander of the faithful.

In December 2018 near Mount Toubkal two Scandinavian tourists were murdered (beheaded), the savagery of the way in which this senseless murder took place is beyond words and no one will dispute that those who committed this hideous crime need to be punished in the most severe way possible.

In less than 48 hours after the murder the Moroccan police supposedly arrested the main suspects, this is exemplary for Morocco where everything is well orchestrated and presented as the ultimate truth. Framing innocent people for crimes committed is a daily occurrence in Morocco, this is not say that I claim the perpetrators presented to us are innocent but knowing the Moroccan police it is not a far fetched possibility.

Supposedly a group of Moroccans started a petition on Change.org directed to the Moroccan Ministry of Justice requesting the death penalty for the suspects, Morocco is known for orchestrating these actions and this could well be one of those moments.

Our thoughts are with the families of the innocent victims and we wish them all the strength to live with the loss of their loved ones. As all victims of senseless crimes they will not be forgotten.

The illusion that there is any form of justice in Morocco is nothing more than that, an illusion.
