Welcome in your country

Most Moroccan Dutch people who have enjoyed a holiday in Morocco have now returned to the Netherlands, we wish those who are still on their way a very safe trip home.

When Morocco shouts ‘welcome to your country’ they mean the euros you bring; when the Netherlands shouts ‘welcome to your country’, it is meant and sincere (despite undeniable discrimination that’s still going on).

To take the wind out of the sails of the hypocrites who also read this piece, let it be clear that we also think that Morocco is a great country. That’s when we talk about the landscape, the climate and the culture.

But to be back in the country that offers you the best opportunities in every field, where you can wallow in democracy and the freedoms that come with it and then sell nonsense like ‘Morocco is great’ is no more or less than a betrayal of the Moroccan people.

The real Morocco is a shit country where people live in abject poverty, oppression and are at the mercy of authorities who don’t care about the people.

People are locked up for no reason other than telling the truth, people disappear and are never seen again, people are ground up in garbage trucks, people are put on the street without compensation, people live in caves under the harshest conditions, prostitution and pedophilia reign supreme and Morocco has become the Thailand of Africa.

So before you say shit, think twice!
