The Moroccan TV-channel Al Aoula TV broadcasts a series called Moudawala (مداولة) this series is meant to provide the viewers with a look in into what happening in Moroccan courts.
What we see is a courtroom with judges, prosecutors and lawyers as we are used to in Western countries, the distortion of facts is that this is in no way a portrait of the truth.
What the series (probably deliberately) fails to show are the people sitting outside the court with no other intention than provide testimony for money, sometimes for no more than MAD 150,00 which is about € 13,00. What also remains hidden from the viewers while they are fully aware of what really goes in Moroccan courts is the fact that most of this people are well known to the court clerks, to the defence attorneys to the prosecutors and to the judges and that all of the aforementioned are accomplishes in the charade that takes place on a daily basis in Moroccan courts.
The real situation in Morocco where justice is concerned is simply that there is no justice whatsoever and that the lawyers are in fact nothing more than brokers who do not win cases because of their expertise but because of how good they are in bribing the prosecutors and judges.
As a never-ending story the Moroccan king continues to claim in his speeches that justice in Morocco is independent while ignoring the fact that in Moroccan justice as well as in the rest of Moroccan society everything is ruled by corruption.
Notwithstanding the fact that Al Aoula TV is free to bring the Moroccan viewers series that they consider to be successful and score high in viewing figures they have also an obligation to the truth. What Al Aoula TV does by broadcasting this series is merely confirming the lies of the Moroccan authorities.
